ABOUT

Hi, I’m Niousha — a biomedical engineer turned certified life coach, integrative nutrition health coach, and menstrual cycle educator.
During my university years, I studied biomedical engineering with a focus on human physiology
without ever learning about the fundamental differences between male and female bodies. Not once did anyone mention how our hormones shape our energy, metabolism, mood, or performance differently. That all changed during the pandemic, while working out at home with the Nike Training Club app, I stumbled upon an article on the app about cycle syncing by Dr. Stacy Sims, a leading researcher in female physiology. That moment was a turning point.
I was instantly captivated—and frustrated. Why weren’t we taught this? Why had I, and so many other women, been left in the dark?

That curiosity led me to take Dr. Sims’ course and dive into the research around the menstrual cycle and performance. I quickly realized this wasn’t just a gap in my education—it was a systemic issue. Historically, women have been excluded from clinical research due to hormonal fluctuations throughout the menstrual cycle, leading to a massive lack of data and understanding. Meaning most health and fitness guidelines were created without us in mind. In fact, until 1993, women weren’t even required to be included in U.S. clinical trials. Change is only just beginning.

At the same time, I was also training for nine months to become a certified life coach. I was learning about the deep connection between the mind and body, how our belief systems shape our wellbeing, and how healing truly begins with awareness. I learned the power of body-mind alignment and the role of mental and emotional wellbeing in physical health. The integration of science, psychology, and holistic healing gave me a new lens—and a new mission.
I made it my mission to bring cycle syncing and female physiology to every woman who would listen. As an Iranian woman,  I carry this work with purpose—It’s deeply rooted in my values of empowerment, education, and transformation.

In 2025, I became an IIN certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach to deepen my understanding of how nutrition supports hormonal balance and our multi-dimensional health. Now, through my platform Cycle Hood, I work with women 1:1, in group coaching programs, and through workshops to help them understand and honor their bodies. I coach women to work with their unique physiology—not against it—so they can thrive in every area of life and feel at home in their bodies.

Every woman I’ve worked with has had the same initial frustration : Why didn’t anyone tell me this before?
That frustration is valid—and through this work, we create a safe space for expansion, transformation, and powerful change—one cycle at a time.
